After Stampede we mostly took in things close to home. We were lucky to meet up with some cousins and get out to Johnston Canyon to hike to the Lower Falls with them.

Emily is quite the 2 year old hiker and could certainly hold her own.

Here is Andrew taking a little rest break on way to the Falls.

We made it! Matthew has done it once or twice before, but not for quite a while.

We had lots of fun around our neighbourhood and in the backyard. Emily is practicing up for soccer next year.

A teenage cousin visited us for just under a week and we took in some local attractions, like Calaway Park. Here Matthew is at the front of the ride coming down....splash!

Andrew likes to fly the airplanes.

Andrew and Emily got to be the engineers on the train.

Emily loves driving the snowmobile, as you can tell from the big smile on her face.

We went to the Calgary Tower. Andrew enjoyed the view.

Matthew was brave to lay on the glass floor. This made me sick just thinking about it.

I was more like Emily, taking in the view from more secure ground.
Bruce took the boys camping which is always a favorite weekend activity.

We made it up to Edmonton for some hot weather playing at the playground. Emily's face is so pink from the heat, and racing around.

We had our "traditional" stop at Chuck E. Cheese in Edmonton. Andrew took in a little riding.

Matthew won a record amount of tickets.

Emily was happy doing a little construction work there.

She has fully been discovering her inner princess/ballerina and loves pink or purple tulle.

The boys did some day camps on my work day. One day I was surprised to pick up a leopard!

Cooking continues to be popular around our house, and everyone likes a turn making pizza.

We went to Banff and did the Cave and Basin Discovery trail. Emily is quite a nature observer with her binoculars.

Posing on the boardwalk.

The Cascade Gardens in Banff were spectacular this year, and we had a wonderful time walking around the garden trails.
