Anyone who has talked to me during this past year and asked what I have been up to has heard that I have been busy on our neighborhood playground committee. It was a lot of work, but we managed to get in a beautiful new playground in about 9 months. The opening was delayed as our weather had been so wet, the gravel could not be put in for quite some time. The kids were so excited when they were finally able to try out all the new equipment.

Here is Matthew at the top of the climbing wall.

Emily loves racing down the slide, but insists upon a partner next to her. She pats the next slide until someone, like her dad, obliges.

Matthew can do some pretty good balancing on the Rockin' Rider.

There are some nifty play panels. Andrew loves this one with gears and balls that drop through the construction trucks.

Here is Matthew getting tangled up on the playweb.

He has gotten to be a pretty strong guy on the overhead bars, and likes showing us how far he can get around.

Andrew is working hard on the Wiggle Walk, a moving balance beam.

One of the most popular things is the Quattro See Saw. It is fun in the seats, and the older kids like Matthew like standing on the middle board and making it rock back and forth.
